Michelisz takes pole with 8th in Germany

Norbert Michelisz brought out as much as possible of Race 1 in Germany and finished 8th after starting from 15th on the grid thanks to his penalty. Therefore Michelisz will start Race 2 from pole position in Oschersleben. Team will investigate the cause of late race engine concerns.

Gábor Wéber and title rival Michael Rossi both retired from Race 2 of the SEAT Leon EuroCup in Oschersleben due accidents in the early stage of the race. The title fight remains open Murray closes the gap on the leaders. Diego wins ahead Larini but results remain provisional.

Massive fog caught Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on Sunday morning and took effect on the warm up before the 2010 FIA WTCC Race of Germany. Norbert Michelisz continued to be a frontrunner and finished 6th on the session. The Hungarian driver is hopeful for the afternoon.

Norbert Michelisz deemed the qualification for tomorrow's Race of Germany the most difficult one of his life as changeable weather conditions and various accidents created a real thriller out of the 30 minutes session. Michelisz finished 5th and become the fastest driver with a SEAT.

Zengő-Dension Team's Gábor Wéber took victory on Race 1 of the SEAT Leon EuroCup weekend in Germany. Wéber was leading from start to finish after managing to avoid a dangerous situation. Rossi took 2nd, da Costa finished 3rd, Larini is on pole tomorrow with 8th today.

Free Practice 2 of the FIA World Touring Car Championship in Germany was officially proclaimed as a wet session but the field dried the track up and put the slick tires back onto the cars towards the end of the session. Chevrolets were fastest but expect a different scenario on qualifying.

WTCC Race of Germany got underway in a disturbed fashion for the field as the opening Free Practice was red flagged twice over the 30 minutes. Norbert Michelisz finished 11th after only a few completed laps before Tiago Monteiro crashed his car. Gabriele Tarquini was fastest.

Zengő-Dension Team's Gábor Wéber managed to outpace his main title rival Michael Rossi and took his 3rd pole position of the 2010 SEAT Leon EuroCup. Wéber will start Race 1 in Oschersleben from the 1st spot as team mate Imre Birizdó took 5th and shone on qualifying.
